What should you expect?

We want to make your experience at FPCH as worshipful and enjoyable as possible. We have tried to answer a few of the more common questions below, but please feel free to contact us with any other questions.

WHERE IS OUR CHURCH LOCATED?
You can visit us at 201 10th Street in Honesdale, PA. There is plenty of parking in front of the church and around beautiful central park.   We also have a ministry facility called THE VINEYARD CENTER at 761 Terrace St., Honesdale.  Our 9am Sunday service is held at the Vineyard Center which is handicapped accessible with plenty of parking.

WHEN ARE OUR SERVICES?  We have two opportunities for corporate worship: 9am (The Vineyard Center, 761 Terrace Street) & 11am (201 Tenth Street).  The sermon is usually the same and is given by Rev. Lyle at both services.   We also have a service on Thursday nights @6pm at our chapel (201 Tenth Street).  This service includes a complimentary meal served after the message.

WHAT STYLE OF PREACHING CAN YOU EXPECT?
Reverend Lyle’s preaching is Bible-based, relevant and easy to understand.  His messages are recorded each week and posted on our website.

WHAT IS AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN?
Child care is available at our 9:00am service at the Vineyard Center. In order to provide the best care possible, our nursery caregivers have all state recommended clearances. We have a paid staff, consisting of two experienced women who are present each week and who provide a safe and loving environment. We provide pagers and a secure check out system for parents’ peace of mind.  We also have busy bags and children’s bulletins available during worship services for school-age children. While we encourage families to attend worship services together, Inner Mission is our version of “Sunday School” for all ages and is held at The Vineyard Center on Wednesday nights during the school year.

WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR?
You’ll find that most men and women are dressed casually at our services. While some may be dressed up, you’ll find some are wearing shorts and t-shirts. We’re not a church that worries about how you look on the outside! Whatever you’re wearing, we’ll be glad to see you!

WHAT DENOMINATION IS FPCH?
As of October 3, 2015, FPCH is now an ECO church. ECO is otherwise known as the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians. To find out more about this denomination, please visit www.eco-pres..org
